Founded in 2022, Black Obsidian Group (BOG) is a boutique real estate developer built on a simple premise – quality, architecture, and intentionality should never be compromised for scale. We intentionally limit our project portfolio to ensure that every development receives our undivided attention.
We collaborate with forward-thinking architects to ensure that our developments are not just additions to the neighbourhood, but landmarks of design. We believe that true luxury is found in the details—the choice of materials, the flow of natural light, and the way a space makes you feel the moment you walk through the door.

Dhash Bhogun
Founder
Dhash is the founder of Black Obsidian Group and has over 10 years of experience in finance and real estate development. With his expertise in financial and legal structuring, and a hands-on approach towards property development, Dhash has steered residential development programmes of over Rs.75m to fruition.
After starting out his career in investment and corporate finance at CIEL Finance and PwC, Dhash subsequently specialised in real estate transaction as Investment Manager at Grit Real Estate Income Group working on transaction totalling over Rs. 2 billion, with key deals being the development Artemis Hospital in Curepipe and the disposal of Absa House in Ebene.
Dhash holds a BSc Investment and Financial Risk Management degree from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School) from City University, London. After 3 successive scholarships at undergraduate level, he was awarded the British Council Commonwealth Scholarship to pursue an MSc Finance degree from Imperial College London, specialising in private equity and venture capital.
Ashley Boolaky
Development Manager
Ashley Boolaky is a real estate and construction professional with over 15 years of experience spanning architecture, construction project management, and property development.
Ashley previously held roles at A-grade contractors, serving as Project Manager at Kuros within the Contracting & Property Development divisions and as Assistant Project Manager at BCEG, overseeing key projects such as the Sky Garden construction (formerly Le Meritt Elipsis). Prior to his roles in construction management, Ashley also worked for architecture firms including DesignA Consulting and Atelier In.DI.GO.
He is currently completing an MSc in Real Estate Finance and Investment (RICS Accredited) at the University of the West of England, Bristol. He holds a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) in Architecture from the University of Greenwich, London, as well as a Certificate in Property Development and Investment from the University of Cape Town, achieved with distinction.
Divya Ramdewor
Project & Corporate Coordinator
Divya supports BOG’s real estate development, project finance advisory, and development management activities. With a multidisciplinary background in law, finance, and corporate governance, she contributes to project coordination, corporate administration, and stakeholder engagement across the Group’s development projects.
She previously served as a Compliance Executive within a compliance solutions and advisory firm, where she supported the implementation of governance frameworks, conducted due diligence reviews, and contributed to risk management initiatives. Her experience also includes financial consulting and property management.
Divya holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate Law with Distinction and a BSc in International Business Finance with First Class Honours from the University of Mauritius. She is also completing Level 2 of the ACCA accreditation.
